I like to watch movies. I often go the theater to watch new movie, but I always watch movie at my home, on TV or DVD.

I have a lot of favorite movies, for example, Armageddon, Titanic, and Transformer. All movies are very nice story, so I want you to watch them.

But, I want to introduce a cartoon film now. It is “Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind (1984/3/11)” I think that probably, most of Japanese people have watched this movie. It is very famous around of Japan

This film directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and released on 1984 in Japan. When the film released, I wasn’t born in this world, because I was born 1987 and I’m 21 years old. So, this film has been enjoyed for more than 20 years. On the other day, it was broadcasted on TV.

Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind has a lot of serious story, for example, coexistence with nature, and criticism of war. The first time when I watched this movie, I was child. So I couldn’t understand problem of environment, and war. So I just enjoyed this story as a one of cartoon films. And now, I became an adult. I can understand this story more deeply. It is described as our future in this movie. I think that this movie warns our human of some problems and people should discover the important things by watching this movie.

I like other movies by Hayao Miyazaki. I like My Neighbor Totoro(となりのトトロ), Princess Mononoke(もののけ姫) and many so on.

Essay 5 [The worst day in your life]

The worst day in your life

It was really bad day in my life. It was 5 years ago, and I was 16years old.

In those days, I had favorite musician, it was ‘w-inds.’.　w-inds. was not so much as a musician as an idol. It has 3 members in the group, and I like them because every member was so cool. I had loved them since I was junior high school student.

My bad day is related to w-inds. . 5years ago the day, I had a very important things. It was concert of w-inds. . In order to go the concert, I had had a lot of part time job to earn money. Because of going to the concert requires a lot of money, I should have worked very hard.

I could prepare enough money to go the concert, but it was happened. The day before the concert, a stomachache attacked me! It was not common stomachache, it was severe pain. I went to hospital, and the pain was come from gastroenteritis. I had fever and severe pain.

On the important day, I couldn’t stand up, because of my illness. I had still had a fever and pain. I couldn’t go to the concert as a matter of course. I was very sad, I shed tears.

I passed the day crying.

Because I couldn’t go to the concert, I wasted my ticket, so, money. Though I had worked very hard for the concert, all my efforts came to nothing.

It is the worst day in my life, but I think that it is not serious, now. I was really child then. It is my bad day memory, but, on the other hand, it is also shameful memory, now. [290/3562]

Essay 4 [A memorable day in your life]

I don’t have any memorable day except my birthday. So, for the present my memorable day is my birthday!

My birthday is 5/23. So it is tomorrow (today is 5/22/08). I become 21 years old this year. My boyfriend will celebrate my birthday tomorrow. We will have a good dinner, so I’m looking forward to seeing him.

The last my birthday, it was bad day. He forgot my birthday. I got angry at him, and I was very sad. So I’m going to have a lot of fun at this year birthday.

In my child food, my family held a birthday party for me. My mother made a special dinner, and gave a nice present. I ate good strawberry shortcake. I still love strawberry shortcake, because it was served on my birthday party. My father took picture of birthday party. The picture reminds me of the birthday party. It was precious time. It was a very happy time.

However, my family doesn’t give me present now, only a birthday cake. Sometimes there is no cake. I’m sad, when such a thing happen. But I have to patience, because I’m adult.

In spite of my family, my boyfriend and friends give a lot of happiness on my birthday!

My friends gave me nice present. It was pierced earring, pouch, and clothes. A friend gave me a cute alarm clock, because I always overslept and late getting to the class. I will use it to wake up early.

I’m lucky girl, because I have a wonderful family, friends, and boyfriend. I will celebrate their birthday! [263]

Essay 3 [my favorite animals]

I like a lot of animals, so I like to go to zoo. There are various kinds of animals, especially; I like giraffe, lion, and white bear.

Giraffe has a very long neck, it is very wonderful! I want a long neck like giraffe’s nice neck. Lion is so cool! The lion is called the king of beasts, and I think so. If I were attacked by the lion, I couldn't escape from fearful. But a lion that live in zoo is mostly spiritless. When I go zoo, they sleep well. It is not exciting. White bear is very big, but very cute animal! They can swim well in spite of they have big body. I want to see the white bear that live in Asahiyama zoo. The white bear is very popular in Japan. I want to go there!

I like animals of zoo, but it is not my best. My best favorite animal is cat. A cat doesn’t live in zoo, but they mostly live in our home as a pet. I can see them various places, my grandfathers home, my university and park. I don’t have pet in my home, of course I don’t have cat. When I want to see cat, I always access Youtube (a website of movies).

Youtube is very famous website of movies in the entire world. It has a lot of movies of wonderful cat. I can see a lot of type of cat in this website. For example, it has movies of a cute kitty, funny cat and beautiful cat. It is very fun.

I want to keep cat in my home someday. If I have cat, I want to sleep with cat in my bed, play with toys and do a lot of things! [294/1878]

I will introduce my treasure in this essay.
It is various photos. Photo has not only picture but also have memories and story.
I always enjoy them.

In my home, there are a lot of photos.
First, for example, there are photos of when my mother and father child, when I was a baby, and many so on.

Such photos tell me about state in those days. When my parents were child, I was not born, of course. However, I can know my parent’s childhood by seeing that photos. It was very fun. When I saw a photo which my grandmother was child, somehow I was moved.

It can be centering of topic on my family. When we saw such photos, we enjoy talk about them. It is very precious time for me.

Second, I have a lot of photos of my trip. When I go on trip, I always take pictures, because I like taking picture and I want to leave the moment. On my trip, I always meet good things, so I want to leave them in photos. I have taken a lot of photos of　tourist resort in Kyusyu since I had entered in KGU(my university). I want to increase such photos.

And I take a photo not only trip but also daily life. For example, I often take photo of plant, sky, view and moving view.　Especially, I love photo of sky, but it is difficult for me to take beautiful　sky photo. I should make efforts to take good photos.

Hello, my name is Ayumi . I will stay with your family for 6 weeks in this summer. So I’m writing to you, because I want you to know about me.

My birthday is May 23 in 1987. Now, I’m 20years old, but I was often regarded as older than my true age.

Now, I’m third year of Kumamoto Gakuen University. KGU is located in Kumamoto city of Kumamoto Prefecture. In my University, I learn about English.

I like English, but it is difficult for me to master. I want to learn English more in your country.

We are a family of five. I have two young sisters. One is 16 years old, and the other is 15 years old. We look like good friends. I go shopping with my sisters very often. How many people are in your family? Does your family have any brothers or sisters? I want to go shopping and play together.

I have various hobbies. It is shopping, reading, movie watching, traveling, and drinking with friends.

I often trip various hot spring resorts. I live in Kyusyu of Japan, Kyusyu has a lot of famous hot spring resorts. So I went to various famous hot spring resorts in Kyusyu. Does your country have hot spring? I want go foreign hot spring!

The other day, I went to hot spring resort in Oita prefecture, and for the first time, I tried to a snowboard in Oita. I couldn’t slide down a hill well, but it was very fun.

TOY STORY 3rd essay

I watched TOY STORYⅠ. TOY STORY is DisneyPixar’s cartoon film. It was released 1995. It made of a lot of CG. So, all character’s face with deeply chiseled features. It was first CG- movie as long film that released all over the world. A lot of peoples watched this movie, so TOY STORY got first prize that year’s ranking. In Japan, TOY STORY was released on March 23 in 1996.

I have watched this movie when I was junior high school student, so I watched it after a long time. TOY STORY is very interesting movie! This movie has a lot of good characters. Woody and Buzz’s friendship is impressive story. And a relationship between toy and people is important topic. I love this movie.

A lot of differences characters appear on TOY STORY. Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Slinky, Mr. potato head, soldier, and many many toys. Those of toy is Andy’ toy. Andy is boy, and the owner of a lot of toys. In TOY STORY, All toys can speak and move freely. In front of child, they keep silence, never move. But if there are no people, they enjoy talking and playing! All character are individuality, and good friend. They cooperate for many things.

In this movie, the best impressive point is friendship of Woody and Buzz. They don’t get along with each other first. Woody loves Andy, his owner, so he feared depriving first prize of Andy. Someday, Woody play a nasty trick on Buzz. But in a lot of difficult things, they become cooperate. I moved their friendship.

Andy is very good boy. He never break toys. But Sid who neighbor Andy’s house is very but boy. He always break his toys. His all toys were robbed of their voice. It is very sad.

This thing tell us very important thing. I think that this story tell us we should treat everything carefully. It is important for our life.

TOY STORY show fancy, friendship, a lot of important things. It is not the truth that toy can move, make a friendship, has a emotion. But when we can imagine that thing, we can see the world differences view points. TOY STORY is one of the my favorite movies.

Mega essay Kumamoto

We are going to introduce about Kumamoto. We are students of university in Kumamoto. So we know a lot of things about Kumamoto.

1st sightseeing spot

Kumamoto castle is is very famous building. A lot of people come to there from other prefecture. This building was made by Kiyomasa Kato. It is standing on Chausu mountain. This castle is one of sightseeing. And outside is very beautiful. Night time, it is illuminated fountains at night. And, today is taken place four hundred festival. This way, kumamoto castle has a very long history. Especially, summer time is the best! Because, fire work is rocketed into the sky. It is very nice.

Aso farm land is very famous place. A lot of couple visit many times. So, this place is date spot and play spot. There are a lot of very delicious food and farm village and play spot. For example, ice cream, cheese, juice, croquette, many kind of vegetable... We can stay farm village. At there, there is hot spring. It is very comfortable and we can relax. Farm village is illuminated fountains at night. it is very beautiful and we are able to relax.

Plants and animals land is very famous theme park. A lot of family come to there many times. Of course, a lot of couple comes too. At there is many kind of attraction. So, children is very fun. And, woman is very comfortable. Because, there is flower and plant. Otherwise, there is animals. Seen it from outside, it is very beautiful and delightfully and be want to go there. Please come and see there one time. Then you are able to be happy and fun!!

2nd history

Kumamoto is called "Hinokuni（火の国） ". It means "Country of Fire". Do you know why way to called it? There are some reasons.
*First, because An ancient emperor ordered to his followers so.
*Second, because the other emperor did voyage. At that time he found a "Shiranui( 不知火)" . He went toward it. Then, He arrived at Yatｓusiro in Kumamoto.
*Third, because Mt. Aso is a volcano.
*Last, this is the most certain reason, because at the time most developed community was Hikawa(Miyahara) in Yatushiro.

Kiyomasa Kato

He was a military commander in Kumamoto. He commanded construction of castle of Kumamoto. He planed "Mushagaeshi" for it. It be able to prevent invasion forces.

He is called "Seishokosan" by the people still. It is familiarity name.

He did the big project for people. He made waterworks in Kumamoto. It is very much appreciated gift to we.

The war of Seinan

This was the last domestic war in Japan in 1877. This is a heroic war that the goverment force VS the antigoverment force.

Takamori Saigo was in command of the antigoverment force. He was a man of Satsuma(Kagoshima) .

The war was very very sublime war. The desperate struggle was in Tabaruzaka and around the Kumamoto castle. But Satsuma force couldn't do the fall of Kumamoto castle.

Takamori Saigo and his fellow soldiers were annihilated in Jyozan in Kagoshima at 24.9.1877. Their annihilation was the signal of the end of the war.

3rd Food

Kumamoto has a lot of famous foods. Basashi, karasirenkon, and many so on.
Basasi is raw horsemeat. In Kumamoto , eating raw horsemeat is common, but in other prefectures, it is uncommon food calture.
Krashi renkon is hot food. Karashi renkon is a lotus root with mustard.
The other hand, local of Kumamoto has a lot of each good food. Wherever I go, I can eat good taste food. For example, Soba is very good in Aso, Takoyaki is good in Amakusa, and many many so on! Kumamoto's food is very good taste. Do you know the reason?
That is why Kumamoto has clean spring water. It serve tap water to all of Kumamoto's water supply. Some restaurants irrigate spring water by my self for good taste. Spring water is very important for Kumamoto’s food.
Famous sweet
Kumamoto’s famous sweets are Jindaiko(陣太鼓),and Mushagaesi(武者返し). A lot of people buy them as souvenir of Kumamoto. And the people of the local people buy them as a snack. Mushagaesi is a Japanese sweet which is associated with the Mushagaesi og Kumamoto castle. You can buy them at Koubai(香梅). Koubai is famous sweets shop at Kumamoto.
Other famous sweet is Ikinari dango. It is dumpling with anko and a sweet potato. It is very cheap and good sweet. You can buy it about 100 yen! And you can find shop of Ikinari dango in many places in Kumamoto.

Local specialties
In Kumamoto, there are a lot of good localspeciaties. Especially, Dago –jiru and Takanamesi are simplicity and very good taste. Dago-jiru is miso soup with a lot of vegetables and dumpling(団子).Takanamesi is Takana –pilaf. It is easy to cook for anyone. So you can eat it whenever you want to eat. [300]

As you see , Kumamoto has a lot of good points. If you come Kumamoto, you can enjoy playing at a lot of sightseeing spots, and you can learn various histories. And you can eat very very good local foods!! Please come our Kumamoto.

5th essay MOVIE

Recently, I often watch various movies. I watched CARS, PIRATS OF CARIBEAN, DORORO, and many so on. From those movies, I recommend one movie for you.

It is The Pursuit of Happyness(Shiawase no tikara) The leading actor is Will Smith. This story is based on a true story.
A man who hasn't had much education was trying for get a job for top company. Because he has wasted his all money on his business. Therefore his wife gave up on him. So he lost money, house, and wife. But he has one happiness. It is his son. He decided to challenge to get a job for his son.
He and his son became homeless. His son said complaint sometimes, because he is child. Then his father cheer up him. It is very sad and painful scene. I moved it.

I couldn't help shedding for this movie. But it is not only sad scene, but also funny scene. If you watch this movie, you should laugh and shed.

This movie show us difficult of living, wonderful happiness, love and many so on. Those are very important for our life. I learned a lot of things from this story. I want you to watch this movie:D

Kumamoto has many wonderful things. Recently I saw and experienced it. So I want you to know it, I will introduce Kumamoto with my experience.

　First, I introduce food of Kumamoto. Kumamoto has a lot of famous foods. Basashi, karasirenkon, jindaiko and many so on. The other hand, local of Kumamoto has a lot of each good food. Wherever I go, I can eat good taste food. For example, Soba is very good in Aso, Takoyaki is good in Amakusa, and many many so on! Kumamoto's food is very good taste. Do you know the reason?

Second, I introduce water spot of Kumamoto. Kumamoto has a lot of tourist spots be related to water. For example, the source of Shirakawa, and Kikuchi is popular. In summer, many people come there. They enjoy water by various ways. Someone enjoy it by drinking water, the other enjoy it by just seeing the flow of water.

I have gone the source of Shirakawa, Kikuchi and Takamori water spring park, and many so on. I can’t remember all places’ name, because I have gone many many places.

Especially, I recommend you Takamori water spring park. It is a tunnel with a waterfall and stream. You can walk along stream, and when you get end, you can see wonderful water show. I have gone there twice, but I want to go to again! Please go there.

Finally, I think that Kumamoto’s good point is clean water. So we should protect it, and enjoy!

3th essay[My life]

I am 20 years old. I have lived since 1987, so, I have many memories.

Now, I 'm going to write various my life.

First, I remember my kindergarten. The kindergarten that I went was big one. I went to there by school bus. During I was kindergarten, I love time to have an afternoon snack. All taste was good!
I can't forget that taste still now. Especially, I love cookies and lemon cake. I want to eat again.

After I go back home from kindergarten, my daily work was seeing and drawing SAILOR MOON. It is very popular cartoon. Almost all girls loved it. 　Until when my mother come back from her work, I had watched SAILOR MOON every day. And maybe, I did housework a little. Because my mother was busy. But, It is maybe:)

After graduate my kindergarten, I entered elementary school. That school was the biggest school in Kagosima prefectural. I went to there until 11 years old. so when I was 11 my family move from Kagoshima prefecture to Kumamoto Prefecture.

Since then I have lived in Kumamoto. I went junior high school, high school in Kumamoto, and now I am student of Universiry of Kumamoto.

I like Kumamoto, because Kumamoto gave me a lot of nice experiences for me! And I like Kagoshima too.

Kagoshima is my country town, view is good, and every persons are kind of others. I want to live in Kagoshima someday. One of the reason is Kagoshima's temperature. It was comfortable. In Kumamoto, it is too hot. I don't like only Kumamoto's temperature. [264]

woderful life～my campus life～[essay 2]

Now I am living a full campus life. I am a sophomore of specialize Britain and the United States. In my University, I study English every day, I making gradual progress in my English. But I have to do my best study English for my future.

I always go to university by train. When I get into train, I t is always jam- packed train. I don't like jam- packed train. Train has good points a little. I can talk with friends during go school. It is precious time. But I want to go university by car, but I don't have driver's license. So I'm going to get it this during this summer vacation　with my university friend.

My university friends are very good persons. They entertain me with joke every time. And I entertain friends too. We always laugh. And we are going to go dinner (drinking party) once a month. The other day we held first drinking party. It was very wonderful time. Every day is very fun!

But about class, I have trouble. Sometimes I fall into a doze in class. I can't stand sleepiness. Because after finished class room, I have part time job five a week.. I have worked for six months there. I sold bag, hut, accessories and many so on. It is 12:30 a.m that I can come back home. It is too late for me.

But I will reform my habit of doze.

I belong to Kumamoto Gakuen University. I belonged to orchestra club, and Iplayed cello at this club. Cello was very intresting instrment. Now I retired club, and started part time job. I have part time job five times a week. It is hard scheduel for me, but that work is fun.
